Marco Ruiz is the current Assistant Superintendent of Educational Services at Cartwright School District #83
Before working at Cartwright, he was at Fowler Elementary School District #45 as an Assistant Superintendent of Educational Services, but also worked in other roles previously.
In 2022, Marco's neighbor posted a video on the social media app "Nextdoor" and informed his neighbors about the behavior of a belligerent Marco. This video was taken at 0240 when Marco arrived home blasting his horn and playing music loudly, when confronted he threatens to kill the neighbor and have him taken out on a stretcher.
His long-time neighbor also shared how Marco is driving recklessly after a night out at the bars, which he gets so inebriated that they refuse to serve him. He will arrive home between 2-4 AM revving his engine and blasting music and driving off to return shortly thereafter demonstrating the same behaviors. Law enforcement has been notified multiple times. They never seem to catch him in the act. He also once brandished a knife at his neighbor. Said neighbor has been warned to stay away from him.
He has also been on video leaving his vehicle in the driveway walking naked to his front door, being so drunk that he has left his car running for hours with the drivers door open in the rain.
Is this the kind of behavior that district's approve of?
Marco is a board member of AZALAS, Arizona Association of Latino Administrators and Superintendents. Is this the kind of behavior becoming of a representative for an organization that represents our school systems?
